How ChartPilot Develops Clinical Content

Developed by ChartPilot with clinical input from a practicing dentistLast reviewed: August 13, 2026

ChartPilot educational resources and document templates are developed by ChartPilot with clinical input from a practicing dentist, drawing on established dental principles and on professional and regulatory guidance where it applies. Resources are reviewed and updated as they evolve, and each page shows when it was last clinically reviewed.

ChartPilot does not operate a formal external peer-review process, and does not describe its educational resources as independently reviewed.

Who Writes ChartPilot Content?

ChartPilot is a dental clinical documentation platform that gives dentists and dental teams professionally written clinical note templates, consent forms, patient education guides, and post-operative instruction sheets in one place, ready to customize and send. Content is developed by ChartPilot with clinical input from a practicing dentist. We do not publish the individual clinician's name at this time, and we do not present that clinical input as independent third-party review, because the dentist involved is involved with ChartPilot.

What Goes Into Developing a Resource?

  • Clinical input from practicing dentistry, including how a topic is actually discussed with patients and recorded in a chart
  • Established dental principles for diagnosis, treatment discussion, consent and recordkeeping
  • Relevant professional and regulatory guidance where a page discusses requirements, cited on the page itself
  • Plain-language editing so patient-facing material is understandable without dental training
  • Review and updating as resources evolve, with the review date shown on each page

Where a page states a professional or regulatory principle, we cite the primary source that supports it, using descriptive links to regulators, professional associations or legislation. We do not cite blogs or content aggregators as authority, and we do not add citations that do not support a specific statement on the page.

Who Are These Resources For?

ChartPilot provides dental clinical documentation, consent, and patient-education resources for dental professionals, with a primary focus on dentists practicing in the United States and Canada. General educational resources are written to be broadly applicable wherever the underlying principles hold. Where a requirement differs between jurisdictions, we say so and direct dentists to confirm what applies where they practise rather than implying a single universal standard.
